Our culture has taken this concept of being God’s temple and skewed it toward the individual with a focus on self-care. God has selected you in Christ to be a piece of the larger building—His temple. And that building has the purpose of pointing people to Him, not to oneself.

The drive to feel significant is in every one of us. And it should be—as we were created from the beginning to play a significant role in God’s story. However, it’s easy to experience shame and guilt when we feel like we don’t measure up. But do not be distracted be these emotions; you have been chosen for a purpose.

Our goal is that the Lord will strengthen our convictions surrounding the truth of Jesus Christ, so that we place Him first and work on behalf of others so they may know Him. This is not always easy, but it is responsible and just.
