Freedom in Christ Ministries was founded in 1989 by Dr. Neil T. Anderson while serving as a professor of practical theology. He realized Christians often needed helpful guidance with how to overcome their personal and spiritual conflicts so they could live free and fruitful in Christ. The results of his study and experience are his best-selling books, Victory Over the Darkness and The Bondage Breaker—along with a biblical, moral and spiritual inventory called The Steps to Freedom in Christ. From that beginning, FICM has now grown to hundreds of trained staff and volunteers serving all across the nation and around the world.
