5 Reminders About Blessings

In such seasons as Christmas we remember how blessed we are by God, He has protected us and provided for us in so many amazing ways. What a great season we have to shower His love and joy to others. Here are 5 reminders of the blessings of Christ this Christmas!

See the Blessing!  Behind every good gift is a Great God! He alone is the author and maker of life and the ultimate giver of blessings. May we reflect more on the source of our many blessings in life & see the Christ child.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17

Enjoy the Blessing!  In order to enjoy something we need to pause, to be intentional, to be reflective. May we purposefully plan some margin into our busy days to enjoy the sweetness of our Savior!

Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. Proverbs 16:20

Thank the Blessing!  Gratitude to God is an essential evidence of saving faith.  May we daily praise and honor God’s amazing character.  May we thank Him daily as we see and experience His blessings.

Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God! Psalm 68:35

Share the Blessing!  As we experience God’s many blessings, may we find ways to speak and share His love in unexpected and overwhelming ways.  What a great privilege we have to overflow His goodness to others!

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35

Be a Blessing!  God has purposed His children, true followers of Christ, to be a blessing of His greatness to the world around us. May our name have the reputation of faithfulness to Jesus that overflows as a blessing to others. May we move into the upcoming year with the goal of being a bright light in the midst of a dark world!

And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. Genesis 12:2
