10 Truths About Money

20 Truths About Money

  1. Everything Belongs to God
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein (Psalm 24:1). The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts (Haggai 2:8). Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

  2. God Makes It Possible for You to Earn Money
You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day (Deuteronomy 8:18).

  3. An Entitlement Attitude is a Deadly Attitude

  4. Prioritize God and Give to Him Before Anyone Else
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce (Proverbs 3:9).

  5. God Blesses Those Financially Who Honor Him Financially
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine (Proverbs 3:9-10).

  6. Don’t Work Hard to Get Rich
Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist. When your eyes light on it, it is gone, for suddenly it sprouts wings, flying like an eagle toward heaven (Proverbs 23:4-5).

  7. Desire Only Your Daily Needs
Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” (Proverbs 30:8-9).

  8. Riches Never Satisfy
He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity (Ecclesiastes 5:10).

  9. Not Giving to God = Robbing From God
Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions (Malachi 3:8).

  10. Stealing A Little Leads Towards Stealing A Lot
He [Judas] said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it (John 12:6).

May these truths serve as warnings and encouragements to us in our daily thoughts and practices with God’s resources and money.
